I help homeowners 62 and older unlock the value locked in their homes through reverse mortgages — with clear explanations, honest advice, and zero pressure. No jargon. No surprises. Just a straightforward path to financial flexibility.
Every homeowner's situation is different. Here are the most common paths I help clients navigate.
Turn a portion of your home's value into tax-free cash you can use for anything — retirement expenses, healthcare costs, home improvements, or paying off existing debt.
Consolidate high-interest credit card debt or monthly obligations into a single reverse mortgage. Eliminate monthly payments and keep more money in your pocket.
NMLS-licensed with full FHA compliance. I walk you through every disclosure, requirement, and timeline so you never feel rushed or confused.
A free, no-obligation conversation to review your home equity, explain your options, and determine whether a reverse mortgage makes sense for your situation.
I'm Jamie Van Hoosen, a reverse mortgage professional based right here in Mesa, Arizona. For over a decade, I've helped homeowners in the East Valley turn the equity in their homes into real financial opportunity.
I didn't get into this business to process paperwork — I got into it because I genuinely care about the people behind the numbers. A reverse mortgage is a significant decision, and you deserve someone who will explain things clearly, answer every question, and never push you toward something that isn't right for you.
The reverse mortgage process doesn't have to be complicated. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
We sit down — in person or by phone — and review your home equity, financial goals, and questions. There's no obligation, no sales pitch, just honest information.
I evaluate your home's value, age, and your financial situation to determine the best reverse mortgage product and estimated proceeds for your unique case.
Once you're ready, I guide you through the application, coordinate the home appraisal, and handle all the paperwork so you're never lost in the details.
At closing, you review everything one final time, sign the documents, and receive your funds. You retain full ownership of your home — that never changes.
Homeowners age 62 or older with sufficient home equity can qualify. There are no income requirements, no credit score minimums, and no debt-to-income ratio thresholds. The equity in your home is the primary qualifying factor.
Absolutely. A reverse mortgage does not require you to sell your home or give up ownership. You retain the title and live in the home just as before. The loan is only repaid when you no longer occupy the home as your primary residence.
No. With a reverse mortgage, you are not required to make any monthly principal or interest payments. You are still responsible for property taxes, homeowners insurance, and home maintenance, but the loan balance does not require monthly payments.
Yes. The proceeds from a reverse mortgage are tax-free and can be used for any purpose — supplemental retirement income, healthcare costs, home renovations, paying off an existing mortgage, travel, or helping family members.
If you choose to sell the home or move out permanently, the reverse mortgage becomes due. You or your heirs can sell the home and repay the loan balance. Any remaining equity belongs to you or your estate. Because the loan is FHA-insured, you will never owe more than the home's value at repayment.
Only you can decide that — and my job is to give you the facts so you can make an informed choice. Sometimes a reverse mortgage is the perfect solution. Sometimes it's not. I'll tell you honestly either way.
Schedule a free, no-obligation consultation. I'll review your home equity, answer your questions, and help you understand whether a reverse mortgage makes sense for your situation.
